The Benefits of Having a Cat as a Pet for Kids
Cats make wonderful pets for children, as they are known to be extremely affectionate and enjoy spending time with their owners. Additionally, cats are particularly suitable for individuals living in small spaces and can even be trained to use a litter box. This makes them an ideal choice for those who desire the companionship of a pet without the potential property damage that larger animals may cause.
Interestingly, studies from Oxford University have shown that living with a pet can reduce stress by up to 68%. These adorable furry companions have a calming presence that helps to lower blood pressure and improve mood.
How to Create a Beautiful Cat Drawing
Step 1: Outlining the Head
To begin, draw a shape that resembles the outline of a cat’s head, using the illustration as a guide.
Step 2: Drawing the Face and Ears
Next, create the face of the cat by drawing two shaded circles for the eyes. Then, add two diagonal lines on each side of the face to represent the whiskers. Afterwards, draw a rounded triangle with curvy lines attached to the bottom to form the nose and mouth of the cat. Lastly, add triangular shapes at the pointy part of the head to create the inner ears.
Step 3: Forming the Body
Now, let’s shape the cat’s body by drawing an elongated shape that connects to the head.
Step 4: Attaching the Tail
Draw a curvy, narrow shape that is attached to the end of the cat’s body to form the tail.
Step 5: Creating the Legs
Let’s give our cat some legs! Draw limbs that are attached to the body, as shown in the illustration.
Step 6: Completing the Cat Drawing
Almost done! To add some finishing touches, shade the cat’s inner ears and nose with a pink crayon. Use a white crayon to highlight parts of the face, the tip of the tail, and the cat’s paws. Finally, grab an orange crayon to color the body of the cat. To give our feline friend some patterns, use a darker shade of orange.
Now It’s Your Turn!
For an extra touch of fun, draw a ball of yarn in front of the cat for it to play with. Let your imagination soar and make this drawing uniquely yours!
With these simple and easy-to-follow steps, kids can discover the joy of drawing their very own cat. So grab your materials and let the artistic adventure begin!
