How to Draw a Mushroom Frog – Step by Step for Beginners

Let’s begin by creating a basic guide to make the drawing process easier. Start with a simple circle, ensuring that you can easily erase it later if using traditional tools.

Next, draw the frog’s body. Aim for a “U” shape that is round and bulgy at the bottom while appearing squished and flat at the center.

Chibi animals are known for their round and short features, so this is how we achieve the chibi look with our small frog.

Moving on to the head, draw two bulges for the eyes and the top of the frog’s head. These should be small “U” shapes positioned at the top.

Now, let’s draw the frog’s legs. Add two small legs at the bottom on either side of the frog.

To complete the frog’s appearance, draw two small “W” shapes in the front of the frog’s body as its front legs.

Almost there! To give our frog a face, draw two small eyes and a mouth in the shape of a “U”.

Easy, right?

For added detail, we can draw the frog’s belly. It provides an excellent opportunity to incorporate multiple colors. Simply draw an inverted “U” shape on its stomach to represent the belly.

Congratulations! You’ve successfully drawn the frog. Now, let’s move on to drawing the mushroom above its head. Start by sketching a small oval shape, similar to drawing a halo.

Next, draw the mushroom’s cap and complete the sketch.

Mushroom Frog Drawing Steps

Let’s add some color to our mushroom frog. Begin by coloring the frog green, and for more realism, you can add darker shade warts to the frog’s skin. Vary the sizes of the warts for a more natural appearance. To enhance the cuteness, two blush spots on the frog’s cheeks will do the trick.

Moving on to the mushroom, color the cap red and the underneath a cream color. Add some white spots to the mushroom and a few stripes to the underside for added texture.

And voila! You’re done!
