Let’s Draw an Adorable Dragon Step by Step
Step 1: Getting Started
Start by positioning your paper vertically. This will allow ample space for the dragon’s body. Remember, the face of the dragon should not extend beyond half the length of the paper.
Step 2: The Front Legs
Begin drawing the front legs by starting from the bottom of the head. Draw a curved line downwards towards the desired length of the dragon’s body. Repeat this process for the other leg, ensuring the inside lengths match. Connect the legs in the middle with a small line to form the body.
Step 3: Adding Back Legs
Now, it’s time to add the back legs. Draw a smaller circle or oval on the outside bottom portion of each front leg.
Step 4: Ears, Wings, and Tail
Add the ears and wings to your dragon. For a cute and easy look, draw small wing-like figures on the sides of the head. Next, draw a small arrow-shaped tail protruding from one of the back legs. To give it detail, add a triangle shape at the top of the tail.
Step 5: Defining the Body
Differentiate the dragon’s belly from its legs by adding lines to the forward part of the body. Additionally, draw small hill shapes resembling half-circles at the bottom of each leg to create the dragon’s feet or paws.
Step 6: The Dragon’s Head
Let’s give our dragon a charming face! Start by drawing two small circles in the middle of the face as eyes. Define the eyes by adding smaller circles within them. For an extra touch of cuteness, draw a small curved line above each eye as eyebrows. Add small triangle shapes or protrusions as horns above the eyes and on top of the head. Complete the face with two tiny circles for the nose and a half-circle for the smile.
Step 7: Finalizing Your Dragon
You’ve almost completed your adorable dragon drawing! Trace over the pencil lines with a pen or marker to make them more defined. Finally, it’s time to color in your dragon and make it uniquely yours!
