- Hair Straightener

Crafting the Wolf Tail
Now that you have all your materials ready, let’s start crafting your wolf tail. Follow these simple steps:
Measure out the desired length for your tail using the yarn. Keep in mind, the longer the tail, the more time-consuming the process will be.
Double the length of the yarn by folding it over itself. Repeat this step until you have 12 pieces of yarn of the same length.
Cut the loops on both sides of the yarn and tie a knot at one end. This will serve as the top of your tail.
Separate the dangling yarn pieces into three sections and start braiding them all the way down. Tie another knot at the bottom once you reach the end of the braid.
Optional: You can either cut or brush out the excess yarn hanging from the knot. It’s up to you to decide the desired appearance of your tail.
Creating the Base of the Wolf Tail
To add volume and texture to your tail, follow these additional steps:
Take the remaining yarn ball and loosely wrap it around your hand about ten times. Cut the yarn after each loop, creating smaller individual pieces.

Brushing Out the Yarn

Hold the knotted strands tightly and use a pet brush to comb through the yarn. This might take a bit of time, but be patient. The goal is to achieve a fur-like texture.
Once the yarn is brushed out, use a hair straightener on the lowest setting to straighten out any curls or waves. Brush the fur a few more times to perfect the look.
Take the ends of the knot you made earlier (the part you didn’t brush out) and tie it around the bottom part of your tail.

Having a good pet brush is key to achieving the desired effect. If you don’t have one, it may take you longer to achieve the perfect fur-like texture.
Finalizing Your Wolf Tail

Use a clamp to secure the top part of your tail by slipping it under a few pieces of string within the knot. Clamp it together firmly.
