One day, a team member discovered a little hairless pup hiding in a dog house in front of a property. The pup had been abandoned and was in a shocking state, suffering from severe mange that left her bald and in pain, along with an eye infection.

Desi, a rescue worker, revealed that the poor girl had spent her entire life in a cage, used for breeding, and was abandoned on the street once she “wasn’t cute and healthy anymore.” Desi was able to coax her out of hiding and shower her with the love and attention she deserved.

Named Lucy Ray, the dog’s true personality emerged once her physical issues were addressed. Described as “extremely sweet” and always wanting to cuddle, Lucy Ray became healthier, gained weight, and experienced the joys of a loving home, including interacting with other dogs and walking on grass.

Lucy Ray’s journey took an unexpected turn when Bali Paws found her a forever home in Centreville, Virginia, across the world. Matt and Brianna, the lucky couple, fell head over heels in love with Lucy Ray the moment they saw her images and heard her story.

“We were both madly in love with her. She was just so adorable, and we felt like she simply bonded to our hearts right away and pretended to be ours,” Brianna explained.

Lucy Ray is now living a life of luxury in Centreville, Virginia, moving “from Bali streets to silky sheets,” as described on her Instagram. Spoiled and loved, Lucy Ray has become an integral part of Matt and Brianna’s lives.

“She definitely shows us how much she loves and appreciates us, and we reciprocate because we love her more than anything,” Matt expressed.

Brianna highlighted Lucy Ray’s remarkable ability to forgive and move on from her traumatic beginnings, stating, “I think it’s miraculous that she’s so sweet, loving, and trusting of us after everything she’s been through.”
