Max Verstappen not bothered by war of words between Christian Horner and Zak Brown

Red Bull started the 2024 season as the class of the field. However, with the tides changing, McLaren soon became the benchmark, which has aided Lando Norris in fighting for the driver’s title. This in turn has led to multiple flashpoints between Max Verstappen and the Brit.

Subsequently, this has caused quite a few verbal tussles between Zak Brown and Christian Horner. Verstappen recently reflected upon it and asserted that he was not bothered by it. Max Verstappen arrived at Austin with a 52-point lead.

Lando Norris was anticipated to be a man on a mission and continue to make a dent into the reigning champion’s lead in the standings. However, after a close encounter on track in the main 56-lap Grand Prix, the two camps fought and argued, especially Horner and Brown. With Zak Brown alleging the Red Bull camp for illegal tricks, Verstappen dwelled into deeper reasoning behind the constant statements made by the American.

Zak doesn’t like Christian and vice-versa I think. That’s just how it is. Not my problem either.

Max Verstappen said in an interview with De TelegraafOn the contrary, Brown and Christian Horner had earlier posted a selfie together on social media. Furthermore, the 52-year-old referred to the peace being stored between the two parties despite the ongoing title fight. However, the recent statements from both parties have made the selfie seem a bit hypocritical as the tensions have risen between them.

Verstappen extended his championship advantage and that too with a good margin on Norris. RELATEDMax Verstappen sympathizes with Lando Norris by recalling his own incident from 2017Moreover, the five points that the Dutchman gained at the US GP could help him big time as more than 20 percent of driver’s titles have been won by a margin of five or fewer points. Consequently, making Norris’ chances of having a shot at the driver’s championship significantly slimmer.
