Christian Horner claims Red Bull ready to ‘elect’ Daniel Ricciardo in any role after RB axe

VCARB driver Daniel Ricciardo faced dismissal from Red Bull Racing’s sister team after struggling to find his form over 18 races. Despite his best efforts, he couldn’t deliver the performance needed, resulting in him getting replaced by Liam Lawson. However, Red Bull has kept the door open for Ricciardo to continue working with the energy drink brand, showing its ongoing support for him.

He is set to remain with Red Bull in a non-driving capacity after his exit from VCARB. Dr. Helmut Marko, Red Bull’s top consultant, confirmed that the team has had discussions with Daniel Ricciardo about a potential ambassadorial role, which could involve public relations and marketing activities.

Team boss Christian Horner acknowledged that the Aussie has strong ties to Red Bull and is currently reflecting on his future. He grew up with Red Bull, and he’s taking some time out at the moment, But he’d be very welcome, any time, to be part of whatever role he elected to get involved in. Christian Horner told PlanetF1.

comAlthough Ricciardo is currently retired from racing and hasn’t confirmed his future plans, he still has opportunities to engage with fans and the team. Horner emphasized that they welcome Ricciardo to participate in any capacity he chooses.
