Blake Lively shared a beauty trick she used in high school that involved chili peppers in an Instagram story on Monday. The former “Gossip Girl” star posted behind-the-scenes photos from the CFDA Awards 2024 on her Instagram story last night. She began by praising her makeup artist, Carolina Gonzalez, for a pout-boosting technique and sharing a close-up of her glam beauty look.
On her Instagram story, Blake Lively revealed she used chili peppers to plump her lips in high school. “The Gen Z eye shadow lip trick by @cgonzalezbeauty makes your lips look enormous. ” In reference to a popular makeup fad that involves using shadow around your lips instead of liner, Lively stated.
The actress scribbled, “But then…” in the lower right corner of the photo. Her makeup artist tapped into the viral Gen Z eye shadow lip trick, which uses shadow in lieu of liner. She went on to talk about her own adolescent beauty experiment involving chili peppers.
In the next picture, Lively is seen without makeup and admitting to doing her own do-it-yourself experiment when she was a teenager. Because we were THAT dedicated to terrible ideas in high school, she acknowledged, “You wash off your makeup & accept that you are a millennial girl who used to wear lip gloss with alarming amounts of chili peppers inside for a plump. ”“Turns out eyeshadows are way less painful than Carolina Reapers,” Lively continued.
“Thank you @cgonzalezbeauty for not turning my mouth into an episode of Hot Ones,” she added, referring to the talk show where celebrities are interviewed as they eat extremely hot wings. Livel says she was “committed to bad ideas” as a teen. “Turns out eyeshadows are way less painful than Carolina Reapers,” Lively wrote on her Instagram story.
On Instagram, the makeup artist shared the full breakdown of Lively’s makeup, including the lip product she used to achieve the plump pout. Enter: Armani Beauty’s Lip Power Long-Lasting Satin Lipstick ($38) in the shade 106 with the same product in the matte shade 207 ($45) to “softly contour” the shape. Lively paired her full (and non-painful) lips with loose blond curls, courtesy of celebrity hairstylist Jennifer Yepez.
For her CFDA Awards 2024 look, Lively opted for an all-white Michael Kors ensemble. The A-lister finished off with Lorraine Schwartz diamond jewels and Christian Louboutin heels. The founder of Blake Brown sported an all-white Michael Kors ensemble to the coveted fashion event, which was held at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.
She wore a fitted blazer that hung over her shoulders and a ribbed bodysuit that was tucked into a high-slit, sequined maxi skirt. Christian Louboutin heels and Lorraine Schwartz diamond gems completed Lively’s look. I don’t see any chili peppers.
