Ex-F1 driver asserts Max Verstappen won’t ‘dance to anyone’s tune’ after stellar Brazilian GP victory

Max Verstappen was going through a rough period in F1 over the last few weeks. The Dutch driver had failed to win a Grand Prix since June. However, the three-time world champion was back on top after an amazing drive at the Brazilian GP.

Now, former F1 driver David Coulthard has highlighted that the 27-year-old had showed his capabilities yet again. Verstappen had a few on-track incidents with title contender Lando Norris in recent weeks. Critics slammed the Dutchman’s driving over these clashes.

However, Max Verstappen refused to change his way of racing despite the two-time penalties at the Mexican GP. Coulthard reckoned that the Red Bull driver’s victory at Interlagos would calm the growing anger against him. Moreover, DC highlighted that Max Verstappen had showed yet again that he is his ‘own man’ who speaks his mind.

As such, the Dutch driver does not succumb to anyone else’s tunes. It probably calmed a lot of the sort of growing sort of finger pointing and frustration or anger, that was building towards Max, because he’s his own man, he speaks his mind, he’s not going to dance to anyone’s tune, and that is divisive.
