Amidst this, Christian Horner revealed how Ex-F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone applauded Verstappen. Despite facing multiple disappointing situations at the Brazilian GP, Max Verstappen managed to score the race win after a stellar drive. Multiple individuals believed that this performance was one of the greatest drives ever in the history of Formula 1.

Christian Horner noted that it was difficult to make such a bold statement regarding the Dutchman’s drive in Brazil. I think it’s hard to make those statements about generations. Christian Horner told Racingnews365.

nlBernie Ecclestone was one of the many who personally approached Horner speaking highly of Verstappen’s masterclass. Ecclestone claimed that he saw all the greats perform at the pinnacle of motorsport. However, the Dutchman’s performance at the Brazilian GP was the greatest performance ever according to the F1 supremo.

Hence, the Briton believed that this was a big credit to the 27-year-old. But Bernie (Ecclestone) called me after the race and said, I’ve seen all the greats, but this is one of the best I’ve ever seen. He’s a bit older than me and has seen a bit more, so that’s a big credit to someone like him.
