Lewis Hamilton‘s streak of woeful performances has continued throughout the latter half of the 2024 season despite the recent upturn in performance. The Briton went from scoring two highly coveted race wins to barely finishing in points. Hence, Hamilton pinpointed the major issues in performance at the Brazilian GP which caused him to finish in P10.
Following a disappointing run in the sprint race with an early exit in the Q1 session of the Qualifying, Lewis Hamilton was already suffering enough. However, Hamilton also suffered from performance issues with the W15 chassis. Hence, the 39-year-old reckoned that the weekend was very tough after a torrid outing in the slow challenger.
We were just slow. It was really tough. Lewis Hamilton said in a post-race interviewThe W15 chassis of Hamilton was fit with an older spec which wasn’t very useful for the resurfaced track of the Brazilian GP.
Hence, the seven-time world champion pointed out that racing around the circuit was like being on a plank. The reason for this was that the Briton suffered from a ‘stiff’ suspension. Moreover, Hamilton put forth his hope for the remaining three races to not be so challenging.
It was like a plank. Bouncing everywhere. It was so stiff.
I think the last 3 (races) aren’t so bouncy. Lewis Hamilton addedLewis Hamilton: Lewis Hamilton: We were just slow. It was really tough.
