The Brazilian GP was full of rollercoasters. With the drivers who started in the top three eventually finishing outside the podium places, spots became vacant for drivers to get their names etched in the history of the Brazilian GP. Moreover, the trio of drivers could not have been guessed earlier by anyone, but former TopGear journalist Jeremy Clarkson remained focused on the Alpine drivers in the form of Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly, who brought in a double-podium for the Enstone-based outfit.
Alpine has gone through several identity changes over the years. Though the team was commonly known as Renault, it traversed the F1 landscape in the contemporary era under other names like Lotus and Alpine. However, the French team had a scarcity of double-podium finishes since its Lotus days as its last such result dated back to the 2013 Korean Grand Prix.
However, this fact was re-written at the 2024 Brazilian GP as Alpine scored an impressive double podium amidst tough competition from rivals. This was a massive achievement for the Enstone-based outfit, which was rightly understood by Jeremy Clarkson, who shared a heartfelt message on X. Brilliant work from Alpine in Brazil today.

What a day that was after a difficult season. I’m very happy to be on the podium, I cannot thank everyone enough. The car was extremely difficult in the dry, but I felt at ease when it started to rain.

It’s incredible for the whole team, it’s been such a tough season and we have struggled to score points. But two cars on the podium, I don’t think anybody had that on their bingo card!

Alpine jumped to sixth in the table and if the results stay the same, this could mean that the Brazilian GP alone was able to generate close to $50 million in revenue for the Enstone-based outfit after remaining in the lower half of the standings for most of the season.
