Max Verstappen has had an underwhelming run in Formula 1 for the past few races. The Dutch driver last won a race in June. The Brazilian GP seemed to be yet another disappointing weekend.
However, the three-time world champion turned things around after an unlucky Qualifying. In the delayed Qualifying at Interlagos, Max Verstappen was eliminated in Q2. The Dutch driver was forced to start the race from P17 due to a five-place grid drop.
Verstappen revealed that he was furious when he returned to the garage after that session. Max Verstappen claimed that he knew Red Bull would be fast after Qualifying. The reigning world champion admitted that he almost destroyed the team’s garage as he couldn’t hold back his feelings.
The 27-year-old noted that he performs the best when he is driven and that was perhaps the reason for his incredible race victory. After that quali where I knew we’d be fast, I nearly destroyed the entire garage. I was barely able to hold myself in, but I started the race very driven.
