Trill Williams’ plans to become a superstar NFL player did not turn out as he had hoped. However, failure did not diminish his confidence; he switched from football to wrestling and joined the WWE. Bobby Shouse of the Dive Bar Podcast (all about the Miami Dolphins) first broke the news about Trill Williams joining the WWE.
According to Shouse, 24-year-old Williams underwent a tryout with World Wrestling Entertainment, or WWE (for short) over the summer. After learning the ropes at the facility, the WWE agreed to give Williams a contract. He is part of the organization’s NXT division and even appeared on the 11/12th segment of the show on CW.

The 2022 season brought a lot of promise, but an Achilles tear forced him to sit out the season on injured reserve. The Dolphins waived Williams in August 2023, more or less ending his NFL career. Now he will try his luck in the WWE and perhaps even make a name for himself, which he failed to do in football.
