After several years of fans and superstars clamoring for it, WWE finally introduced a new women’s midcard title. On the latest episode of SmackDown, GM Nick Aldis revealed the Women’s United States Championship to the WWE Universe. Taking note of this historic announcement, one of the veterans of the women’s division, Bayley, reacted to the news.

Bayley took to her X account to highlight how big of a moment this was for the female stars in WWE. Moreover, The Role Model was proud of how far the division has come. A pioneer of the women’s revolution in WWE, this moment wouldn’t have been possible without Bayley.

Alongside the likes of Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and Sasha Banks, the 35-year-old star helped significantly propel women’s wrestling to new heights. Having won almost everything there is in WWE, Bayley could set her sights on becoming the inaugural US Champion. However, Aldis didn’t specify any further details regarding the title, including how the winner would be crowned.
