What Juan Soto Reportedly Requested From Yankees In Meeting

Juan Soto seems to be looking for more than money in his next Major League Baseball pact. Dollar signs surely will be the driving force that leads to Soto’s new contract, which could reach rarefied air in terms of total value. But the superstar outfielder apparently will consider other factors as he evaluates his free agency.

The Red Sox, for example, reportedly received inquiries from Soto and his team about their ballpark and facilities, player evaluation process and commitment to winning. The latter reportedly also was a point of emphasis Monday when the 26-year-old met with the New York Yankees. While Steinbrenner and company reportedly didn’t make Soto an offer Monday, they believe the “door is open” to have a “dollars-driven” meeting in the coming weeks, per Klapisch.
