There’s a reason Travis Kelce‘s relationship with global icon Taylor Swift continues to go so well. Aside from the two giving each other space when needed, even though sometimes that’s not their choice, they also use their time together efficiently. When they have spare time, they go out for romantic dinners, and when the occasion calls for it, they lather one another with thoughtful gifts.

Given all of that, it was no surprise to see Kelce truly go all-out for Swift’s 35th birthday. This was the first Swift birthday where Kelce felt extremely comfortable in his relationship with the singer, prompting him to get as extravagant as possible and make it a night she’ll never forget. According to testimonials from friends and a source for Page Six, Swift was stunned by what Kelce did for her.

She thought she was going to a small, quiet dinner but it was actually a giant surprise party with her friends and family, props included… [Swift] was blown away and couldn’t believe he went out of his way to throw a surprise party for her. Taylor couldn’t have been more shocked when she saw everyone standing there. It really meant so much to her.

According to Page Six’s insider, Kelce had the surprise party planned for a while. He apparently “knew he wanted to do” it long before it came to fruition.

“Travis wanted to throw Taylor a surprise party because she deserved a huge celebration after all the hard work she’s put in. [He was] thankful he was able to pull it off without a hitch.”

It really was a night to remember, with countless iconic moments already coming out from the night out. Who knows how he’ll be able to top this one next year. Maybe with an engagement ring?
