Leclerc started the race in P6 but failed to make increments during the rain-stricken race in Interlagos on Sunday. Charles Leclerc had either won or secured a podium in every race up until Interlagos since the resumption after the summer break.
He seemed confident of his chances this weekend as well until the rain jeopardized his race. The 27-year-old complained of facing issues with grip and pace in the SF-24 during the 69-lap race. Leclerc was unable to match the competence of Red Bull and McLaren throughout the weekend.
