Christian Horner praises Max Verstappen’s masterclass after everything had gone ‘against’ Red Bull at Brazilian GP

Max Verstappen’s victory at the Brazilian GP was no less than a fairytale. The Dutchman had a tough Friday and Saturday, leaving no hopes for him to even be on the podium. With an engine change and a qualifying disaster, he started the race from P17.

However, the race turned out to be a roller coaster, with the Red Bull driver winning his eighth Grand Prix of the season in style. Team principal Christian Horner and the entire team expressed happiness with the result. Horner emphasized that it was a rollercoaster of emotions for Red Bull and Max Verstappen particularly.

Reflecting on his win, the 50-year-old praised Verstappen’s masterclass, stating he was in a league of his own. It was a masterclass today from Max. He was in a league of his own, I think as a team we got all the calls right.

The car had great pace, so outstanding drive, to come from 17th this morning. Everything had gone against us, but he turned it round and after a great start, six cars on the first lap. The whole team have really kept their heads and worked incredibly hard.
