Christian Horner takes a dig at Sergio Perez over rival teams ‘hunting in pairs’ at US GP

Sergio Perez‘s performance throughout the 2024 season has been disappointing, to say the least. Perez is constantly failing to put forth good results for Red Bull. Meanwhile, Max Verstappen is giving it his all at the forefront to maximize points for the team.

Upon this, Red Bull boss Christian Horner took a dig at the Mexican driver’s highly degrading form in the season. Christian Horner wasn’t mincing his words while speaking ill of Sergio Perez‘s performances in the 2024 season. Speaking upon Red Bull’s lost lead to McLaren in the constructors’ championship and Ferrari breathing down their neck, Christian Horner pointed out that both the teams were hunting in pairs.

This meant that both drivers of the respective teams were contributing to the team’s running in the constructors’ championship, unlike Perez. You can see two Ferraris, and two McLarens… They are hunting in pairs. Christian Horner said, as reported by AutosportMcLaren was able to breeze past Red Bull in the constructors’ championship due to failing results from Sergio Perez.

Regardless, the Mexican driver was allowed to continue in the team while Daniel Ricciardo was ousted for such results. Perez has only scored around 28 points after the summer break while others have constantly scored much better results. Can Perez get back on the podium and help Red Bull come back at McLaren in the Constructors’ Championship?

comRed Bull will continue to improve the chassis and gain more learnings for the coming season as Perez is thought to start performing better. Both the championships are all to win currently as multiple teams and drivers set their eyes on the prize.
