Hence, amidst this Red Bull boss Christian Horner put forth the condition to consider the 27-year-old as one of the greats. The Brazilian GP awarded Max Verstappen with massive praise after he scored a victory starting from P17. Lando Norris is highly unlikely to contend for the world championship anymore after a failed drive in Brazil.

Moreover, Verstappen’s record-shattering 2023 performance has enabled him to achieve the status of being placed among one of the greats. Christian Horner reckoned that Verstappen still had some work pending to be considered as one of the greats. Horner believed that if the three-time world champion achieved his fourth title win this season then everyone would have to place the Dutchman amongst some of the greats in Formula 1.

The 27-year-old’s victory in Brazil and ultimately the championship meant that he had already secured his spot. If he goes on to achieve that 4th title which hopefully he’s taking a big step to now, then you you have to start considering him amongst some of the greats in the sport. Christian Horner said in a Youtube Livestream with @talkSPORT Driving.

Red Bull is still continuing to work on improving their pace and performance throughout the season. The final season of the ground-effect era might witness a disappointing situation for the team. Regardless, Verstappen will have to keep working hard if the team’s performance doesn’t improve in the coming season as well.
