Max Verstappen achieved a historic race win at the Brazilian GP after winning the race from the P17 position. The Dutchman showcased an extremely dominant drive and put forth one of the greatest performances ever in Formula 1. Hence, amongst the sea of people applauding Verstappen, Ex-F1 driver Marc Surer praised the former as well.
Max Verstappen faced a lot of impartiality from the FIA at the Brazilian GP due to multiple on-track incidents. Verstappen was initially caught unexpectedly under a wrongly timed Virtual safety car in the Sprint race which cost him the chance to finish second. Moreover, the Dutchman could also not finish his lap under the wrongly timed red flag in the Q2 session of Qualifying.
Regardless, Verstappen did not lose hope and showcased a masterclass performance in Brazil. As a result, the 27-year-old has sealed his victory in the drivers’ championship following the stellar performance. Marc Surer noted that the Dutchman showcased the drive of a ‘four-time world champion’ hinting at his victory in the 2024 season.
