Former Haas F1 team principal Guenther Steiner has shared his thoughts on Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton‘s current form. Hamilton disappointingly finished P10 at the Brazilian Grand Prix last weekend. Lewis Hamilton has been struggling to find his feet ever since the start of the 2022 season.
He won the races of Silverstone and Spa this year but has not been visibly effective in his efforts ever since. The 39-year-old departs for Ferrari in 2025, bidding farewell to the Silver Arrows after 12 glorious years. Guenther Steiner has therefore claimed that Hamilton has given up on his hopes with few races remaining this season.
Steiner has said that the seven-time world champion has stopped looking for opportunities to excel with Mercedes. Lewis is seeing the glass half empty, thinking, I’ve got a few more races here, there’s nothing left to win, while George is looking at it as an opportunity. He will now hope to be presented with a better car in order to perform well in the last three races.
