Ferrari makes bold revelation over 2025 car development amidst recent resurgence

Ferrari has been on an upward trend in recent races. With Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz winning two of the three races in the triple header, the chances of the Italian powerhouse retuning to glory have never looked the strongest. Despite such promising results, team principal Fred Vasseur revealed that Ferrari would not go flat out to win the constructor’s title as the preparations for the 2025 car final up.

Though Ferrari had a relatively mediocre weekend in Brazil, scoring 20 points in both Sprint and the Grand Prix, it still came out on top as the highest point scorer throughout the triple-header. With the prancing horses only behind by 36 points to McLaren, Tifosi anticipated that the championship glory would finally return to Maranello after a drought of over 15 years. However, Fred Vassuer revealed that Ferrari have different plans in the pipeline and would go to the final three races of the season without any new upgrades for the SF-24.

We have been focusing on next year’s project for months now. There is nothing more comingFred Vassuer said (via Motorsport-Total)This statement would have eased some pressure on McLaren. But the Woking-based team cannot relax as the next round in Las Vegas is understood to be Ferrari territory, making their concerns of losing the championship quite real.

While Ferrari have admitted to not bringing any more upgrades for the rest of the season, a stalemate has appeared on the grid between the two arch-nemesis. This weekend was a difficult one but looking at this triple-header as a whole, we are still the team that has scored the most points which is a good way to go into the final three races of the season. We will do our best to keep the fight open all the way to Abu Dhabi.
