Helmut Marko claims the ‘championship debate is over’ after Max Verstappen’s SENSATIONAL win at Brazilian GP

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen ended his winless drought of 11 races by securing the victory from P17 at the Brazilian GP. Verstappen now holds a 62-point lead at the top of the drivers’ championship charts against Lando Norris this season. Max Verstappen has had a mixed 2024 season so far.

He won seven out of the first 10 races, showcasing true pace and skill for the Milton-Keynes-based team. The Dutch driver then failed to keep up his form due to unresolved issues with the RB20. Technical advisor Helmut Marko therefore applauded Verstappen, who rediscovered his lost mojo at Interlagos on Sunday.

Marko claimed that the three-time world champion has truly cemented his chances of winning the title this year. Today the championship debate is over! Today justice prevailed and Verstappen showed everyone who he is once again!

The 50-year-old did not expect the Dutch driver to win by overtaking 17 cars on a tricky afternoon at Interlagos.
