Helmut Marko cleverly gives a squirrel reference in Max Verstappen’ pursuit of ‘picking up’ points in title fight

Max Verstappen managed to finish ahead of Lando Norris at the 2024 US GP. This is very important for the former in his pursuit of the fourth world championship. Seeing Verstappen’s COTA exploits, Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko has interestingly referenced a squirrel.

Helmut Marko has talked about a squirrel’s knack for picking up every nut it finds. He has done this in relation to Max Verstappen‘s pursuit of amassing maximum points in the remaining races of 2024. As things stand, Verstappen is only 57 points ahead of Lando Norris with five races remaining.

Max is a bit like a squirrel. They pick up every nut they see lying around. When it comes to World Championship points, Max has the same philosophy.
