Jason Kelce is sending heartfelt support to his brother, Travis, following the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl loss. The retired Philadelphia Eagles center took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his mixed emotions about watching the game.
“If I’m being completely honest, this game was odd for me to watch,” Jason wrote. “On one hand, I wanted what was best for my brother and to see his success. On the other hand, there are so many people—teammates and coaches in the Philadelphia Eagles organization—that I care deeply about, many of whom I owe my success to throughout my career.”
Despite his loyalties being divided between his brother and the team that shaped his career, Jason expressed pride in the Eagles’ performance. He praised their perseverance, their ability to answer critics, and their undeniable status as the best team this season. Jason highlighted the character and swagger of the Eagles, which he described as truly special, embodying the toughness and grit that makes Philadelphia so unique.

However, in his emotional post, Jason made sure to clarify his feelings about his brother. “As for my brother, there isn’t a person I love or care about more,” he wrote. “It has been tough to process these feelings. Of course, I feel for him and I’m always rooting for him, but I know he does not need nor want my pity. He has amassed greatness few on this planet could ever dream of, as has his team. They should feel pride in their accomplishments this season and in the past.”
In a bittersweet moment, Jason’s message emphasized the love and admiration he has for Travis, both as a player and as a brother, while recognizing the incredible achievements of both the Eagles and the Chiefs. Despite the Super Bowl loss, Jason’s words were a reminder of the true spirit of sportsmanship and family.
