Jason Kelce is likely to be calling the Kansas City Chiefs playoff game against the Houston Texans on January 18 at Arrowhead Stadium.
After receiving a bye week, the defending Super Bowl champions will begin their postseason journey to a third straight title by hosting the AFC South winners.
While Travis Kelceās parents will likely be in his suite for the game, his older brother is expected to call the game for ESPN.
On Monday, the Monday Night Countdown staff confirmed they will work the Chiefs-Texans showdown, per Jerin Higgins. The game will kick off from Kansas City at 4.30pm ET on ESPN and ABC.
Jason joined the ESPN program after ending his 13-season NFL career early last year.
After signing his deal with the network, Jason stated he would not cover Travis differently than other players.

Jason Kelce will likely be on commentary duty for the Chiefs-Texans playoff showdown

āI donāt know that Iām going to cover Travis any differently than I do anyone else. I mean, I feel like Iāve been praising him for as long as I can remember,ā he notes.
āIāve got to be honest, I do think itās important to do that whenever youāre commentating. So Iām just going to try and do that and just organically say what I think and not think too much into it.ā
The Chiefs had a near-perfect season, finishing on top of the AFC West with a 15-2 record.
On the other hand, the Texans are 10-7, coming off a defensive masterclass in their 32-12 upset over the LA Chargers in the Wild Card round.
Aside from Jason commentating on the game, Travis also confirmed that his popstar girlfriend Taylor Swift will be in his suite.
On a recent episode of the Pat McAfee show, the host asked Kelce: āIs there going to be an āauraā in that place? A little extra, you know what weāre talking about?ā

In response, Kelce did not try to keep his cards close to his chest, admitting: āOh yeah, you know it baby. Itās playoff football, man.ā
McAfee then replied: āIs she undefeated? I just want to let you know what live bettors do. They see her walk in the stadium, immediately open the phone and itās like, āyep, Chiefs are about to win.ā Ay, youāre a gentleman pal.ā
Swift only missed one Chiefs home game in the regular season ā and that was due to a clash with the final run of her sold-out Eras Tour show.
She was last at Arrowhead on December 21 when the Chiefs faced the Texans ā the same opponent as this coming week.
