Lewis Hamilton labels Brazilian GP Sprint as his ‘worst race’ in F1 career

Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton has a strong connection to Brazil. Despite being British, his exceptional performances and aura have earned him honorary Brazilian citizenship. However, the 2024 Brazilian GP sprint race was a disappointing one for Hamilton, who later stated that it was one of the worst races in his career.

Lewis Hamilton has had a mixed bag of performances at the Brazilian GP, marked by both wins and struggles. The Mercedes driver’s 2016 win secured his third F1 title, while his 2021 drive from P10 to victory was iconic. The Brazilian fans have a special affection towards the Briton, particularly after his iconic 2021 comeback victory.

However, recent years have been challenging for the 39-year-old due to track changes and Mercedes’ struggles. Hamilton explained that his W15 was very unstable and difficult to handle which made it challenging for him. Probably one of the worst [races] of the year.

The car was all over the place, it was a real real struggle. My car does not like this track. We have time now to make some changes going into qualifying.
