Max Verstappen takes ‘kindergarten’ jibe at Lando Norris over US GP clash

Max Verstappen finished on the podium at the US GP. The Dutch driver battled it out against arch-rival Lando Norris in the ending stages of the race. Ultimately, Norris was handed a time penalty which gifted Verstappen third place.

Now, the Red Bull driver has hit out at the Briton’s comments after the race. Lando Norris was furious over his clash with Verstappen. The Briton even blamed the stewards for making a rushed decision with the penalty.

However, Max Verstappen has claimed that he did not push out the McLaren driver. The 27-year-old even pointed out that the two did not make contact. I didn’t push anyone out.

The three-time world champion highlighted that Leclerc was simply too fast for his Red Bull. As such, Verstappen was focused on his own race in Austin as he tried to increase his points lead to Lando Norris. Max Verstappen (via Planetf1)Started second, came out second out of Turn 1.

This time, of course, it was Charles in front. I think it worked out quite well for me because Charles was anyway faster, so he just pulled away. From there, I just tried to do my own race.

Things seem to be in favor of the reigning world champion as he aims to clinch his fourth title in a row. However, it remains to be seen if Max Verstappen can continue this momentum for the coming weeks.
