Patrick Mahomes Responds After NFL Teams File Petition for Investigation into Chiefs Games Amid Rigging Allegations

Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes has addressed the controversy surrounding his team after 31 NFL franchises filed a formal petition demanding an investigation into the Chiefs’ recent games, citing concerns over potential game-rigging.

The move comes after a series of close, highly scrutinized wins by Kansas City, with some critics suggesting that refereeing inconsistencies and bizarre game outcomes point to potential manipulation.

Speaking to reporters at a press conference, Mahomes firmly denied any involvement in or knowledge of any alleged improprieties. “We’re innocent,” Mahomes said, his voice calm but resolute. “There’s no truth to these accusations. We’ve been working hard all season and earning every win, just like every other team in this league.”

The petition, which was reportedly filed anonymously on behalf of the 31 other teams, calls for the NFL to conduct a full investigation into all Chiefs’ games from the current season. 

Specific allegations include questionable officiating decisions that have favored Kansas City and unusual in-game situations that some believe point to external influence.

The NFL has yet to release an official statement regarding the petition, but sources within the league have indicated that a review of the allegations is underway. The Chiefs, for their part, have expressed confidence in the integrity of their operations and the fairness of the officiating.

Mahomes, who has led the Chiefs to multiple AFC Championship appearances and a Super Bowl victory, echoed his belief that the team’s success is a direct result of skill, preparation, and teamwork. “There’s no need for anyone to make up stories,” he added. “We go out there every week to play hard, give it our all, and we earn the respect of the fans and our peers.”
