While attending the All That Glitters Diwali Ball in New York City on Saturday, Oct. 12, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills newcomer, 47, reminisced to PEOPLE about attending the couple’s glamorous nuptials in India in 2018. She described the wedding celebration as “a weekend of incredible luxury” with “gorgeous food [and a] beautiful environment.
” “Oh, my gosh … it was so lovely,” Saint John recalled. “They created an atmosphere of very close friends and family who were treated to a weekend of incredible luxury at a palace that was left all to us. So, I mean, I had the best time.
” She fondly remembered the fashion spectacle of it all. “So many beautiful outfits,” she said. “I think I changed eight times.

“We were working on X Factor and I met her in Los Angeles and we just clicked immediately,” Saint John told PEOPLE, before sharing what she admires about the Citadel star. “Priyanka is someone who’s unafraid of evolution, starting a new path, figuring out new ways to be and new ways to have artistry — and I love people like that. ” She added, “So, I felt like a kindred spirit to be able to be friends with someone who is unafraid of being labeled one thing and then create a new reality for themselves.
” Chopra and Jonas, 32, tied the knot in 2018 during a multi-day extravaganza in the bride’s home country of India, attended by more than 225 guests. They first said “I do” in a Christian wedding ceremony on Dec. 1 at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, officiated by the groom’s father.
The newlyweds returned to the palace on Dec. 2 to marry all over again in a traditional Hindu ceremony. Then, on the Tuesday after their wedding weekend, they hosted a lavish reception in New Dehli.
Two weeks later, they celebrated once again with a second reception in Mumbai, thrown by Chopra’s mother. The Quantico star later told PEOPLE that she loved that her wedding was “a religious mash-up,” combining her Indian heritage and culture and Jonas’ Christian upbringing. “We took beautiful traditions that we both grew up with and personalized them in a way that made sense for us,” Chopra explained.
“It’s been incredible to find the commonalities between our beliefs and figuring out how to blend them in a respectful and meaningful way. ” She also said marrying her now-husband was an emotional moment. “It was all tears.
All tears,” she remembered. “I could not hold it in. I think I was nervous and scared.
But as soon as the curtains opened, and I saw his face it was just like everything settled and I knew I was making the best decision of my life. ” Jonas felt equally moved by the experience. “The emotions were running high during the ceremonies, I think especially during the Western wedding for me,” the musician recalled to PEOPLE.
“You know you think your whole life about that moment. Honestly, I could not have imagined it would be as perfect as it was. It was highly emotional.
