FIA’s recent rules and regulation changes regarding drivers’ conduct, in general, were received with immense backlash. Moreover, the recent Brazilian GP was run under highly unsafe situations as multiple drivers crashed in an extremely dangerous manner. Hence, amidst the ongoing great circus, the Grand Prix Drivers’ Association (GPDA) further gained motion after the drivers created an Instagram account for the same.

George Russell, president of GPDA, was one of the many drivers who felt strongly regarding the unsafe situation for the drivers at the Brazilian GP. Hence, multiple drivers decided to side with Russell and Co. and make the GPDA official after creating an Instagram account.

Drivers like Charles Leclerc, Max Verstappen, Esteban Ocon, and many others have already followed the account from their profiles. The GPDA’s account formation meant that the drivers were serious regarding their demands to make the sport further safer. The Formula 1 drivers had previously received a lot of praise for forming the Drivers’ Association amidst FIA’s harsh ruling.

As a result, FIA will have to keep a close eye on the association’s demands after the Instagram group was formed.
