Verstappen emerged victorious after creating one of the biggest controversies to ever exist in Formula 1. Hence, three years after the incident, Toto Wolff recalled the time and doubled down on his comments claiming that both drivers were equally deserving of the title.
The 2021 Abu Dhabi finale was considered ‘rigged’ by a majority of the fans. Lewis Hamilton could’ve broken the legendary Michael Schumacher‘s record of seven world championships. However, Max Verstappen won his first championship that season and was extremely excited.

However, the main reason for recalling the moment was because Lewis Hamilton deserved the win and the world record of eight championships in Formula 1.
