McLaren driver Lando Norris won the Sprint race at Interlagos, surpassing his teammate Oscar Piastri. Norris has now amassed eight out of a total of 34 points ahead of the main Brazilian Grand Prix on Sunday. Oscar Piastri was, however, mistaken as the winner by a reporter during the post-sprint conference at Interlagos.
His teammate Lando Norris, along with Max Verstappen, found the interviewer’s mistake hilarious. Piastri was nevertheless respectful and thanked the reporter sarcastically for her regards. The 23-year-old finished P2 to lock out a 1-2 McLaren finish ahead of an important qualifying for the race on Sunday.

With both championships still very much in contention, the two drivers will aim to finish 1-2 in the race as well.
