It seems like Rhea Ripley‘s decision to pay a surprise visit to this week’s NXT was something she’d rue for a long time. As the fans saw, the 28-year-old endured a sneak attack by Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. The former women’s tag team champs assaulted Rhea in the infamous NXT parking lot, leaving The Eradicator spattered with blood.
As a result, Ripley suffered a fractured right orbital socket. Reacting to the injury that’d keep her out of action for an undisclosed amount of time, Ripley took to Instagram. She posted a couple of X-ray images of her skull, highlighting the damage done.
The former women’s world champion wrote that Liv and Raquel made a mistake by not taking her out for good and left her breathing. It did seem like the Judgment Day duo was satisfied with how things panned out. However, that might not be it.
As obvious as it gets, there’s going to be repercussions to this. For now, Morgan and Rodriguez can breathe easy. Rhea isn’t expected to circle back anytime soon.
