Lewis Hamilton’s luxury IWC watch worn during British GP win auctioned for over $250,000

Lewis Hamilton is one of the most popular drivers in Formula 1 due to his personality and performance. The Briton has scored some coveted race wins in the pinnacle of motorsport, with the recent one at the British GP being one of the best. Hamilton was wearing a Mercedes-partnered IWC watch at the Silverstone event which was auctioned at an astonishing price.

Lewis Hamilton ended his victory drought in Formula 1 after winning on his home soil in the British GP. The Briton had termed this win to be the best despite winning over 105 races in his career. IWC has multiple watches themed with Mercedes’ style after a deal between the two entities.

Hence, the Briton wore an IWC watch on the podium of Silverstone while celebrating his race win. The IWC Pilot IW388306, priced at around $14k saw a massive increase in price after Lewis Hamilton wore it in Silverstone. The watch was auctioned at a whopping total of $254,400, roughly around seven times the price of the original watch.
